Message	exists between the intake manifold and the compressor outlet. That's normal. They seal perfectly under boost. I guess you can put a filter mesh on the outlet, but since the BOV is venting pressure, airflow only goes one way. I am only worried about water/rocks getting in, so I angle my BOVs towards the back (towards the radiator)...
